“On July 3, 2023, a group of enthusiastic students of Spiru Haret National College, Tecuci, Romania, came together to experience a new and interesting form of acting: the theater-forum. The whole event, part of the Erasmus+ project Employing theater techniques to support vulnerable students wellbeing ( My Safe), took place in the gazebo in the park of our college, under the direct guidance of teachers: Eugenia Olariu and Dumitru Voinea. The play performed by the students of our college, entitled Highschool story, had as a case study the problems generated by the consumption of alcohol among teenagers: behavioral changes, intersocial and family relations, the attitude of those around, etc. The students, both the protagonists of the play and the spectators , they had the opportunity to empathize with the cause of Daniel, a teenager from a broken family, marginalized by his peers, harshly judged by his parents and teachers, with little help (almost not at all). The action took place in three stages: the performance of the play according to an initial script (inspired by a real event), the debate (presentation by all participants, actors and spectators, of viable, pertinent and realistic solutions) and the presentation of the final version of of the piece, improvised with everyone’s approval.”
